Viking

Viking

Viking is a 20ft motor launch with diesel inboard engine owned by the club. Viking is available for members to use, but club use, (mainly Cruiser Lifting days and Cadet sessions) has priority.

Richard Mosek and Peter Goldsmith have volunteered to administer its use and maintenance. Viking has a maximum carrying capacity of 12 persons including helm and any crew. Members wishing to use Viking should contact Peter Tel. 07852 952 202 and email or Richard Tel. 07956 066 656 or email

If you have not previously used Viking, you will be required to take a competence test (Peter or Richard can advise).

When using Viking, members should fill in the Log Book to be kept in lobby. This will include such information as time and date of use, current fuel state, any problems or damage that has occurred and signature and contact details of the individual using her.

Maintenance will be carried out with the support of club members and the existing network of lifting group members under the guidance of Richard and Peter where applicable. Any small items on Viking found to be missing or damaged will be replaced at Peter or Richard’s discretion. Larger items to be agreed with Vice Commodore or Sailing Committee as appropriate.

Viking will not normally be available for private use during Cadet sessions or on Cruiser Lifting days as shown on the Club Calendar.
