I am sending out an appeal to all members to help with keeping the slipways at the New Hard and the Old Hard clear of mud. I desperately need volunteers and team leaders to organise and help with mud clearing working parties.
I cannot do this alone with the few volunteers who regularly come to help and it is unfair to rely on those few hard working members to keep the slipways clear for everyone else. Everyone who uses the slipways should be willing to take part in at least one or two mud clearing sessions.
We have a duty of care to ourselves and to anyone else who has the right to use the slipways to keep them safe and clean and ensure that they are safe to use.
