We will organise a racing season preparation working party for 19th March, jobs to include:
1) Check over club dinghies, including 3x double handers, 8x Topaz, 1x Tera ready for the new season, including carrying out any repairs that we can, or planning any plans required.
2) Cut back any weeds/ bramble around the Topaz stands, starting hut, and slipway.
3) Hard (slipway) cleaning.
4) Repair starting hut flagpole, if not already completed.
Please can all dinghy sailors try to attend to make sure we’re ready for the new season, (starting with the fitting out race on 3rd April.
Can I ask for a volunteer to lead each of the job areas, I would like that to include the Cadet team checking over Topaz’s. I will arrange for some tea/lunch/etc to be available.
We will plan a full ‘hard working party’, around the boat park / car park areas once the cruisers are lifted in as that’ll give us more space to work – this is not tide dependent so may be scheduled for a non-racing weekend.
