Cruiser Sailing

Wivenhoe Sailing Club is located in some of the finest cruising grounds in the country.

The East Coast is often overlooked as a sailing destination, but with scenic rivers, ample marinas / anchorages, and a wide range of hidden gems to discover, the reputation is rapidly growing.

Whether you are looking to explore the area alone or would prefer a more social setting Wivenhoe Sailing Club and our unique location has much to offer.

The Club organises various Cruises in Company, which are in themselves great social events.

Cruises range from St. Katherine’s Dock in London in the Spring to Ostend and Southern Holland in July and August.

Many other destinations including marinas and anchorages on the East Coast and Thames Estuary form part of the Cruising in Company programme.

Destinations are sometimes chosen as the weather dictates, but more often as a “Where do you fancy going at the weekend?”.

These events are great opportunities for those who want to start exploring further afield, or just fancy a social sail, followed by an evening meal at a kindred club.
